Service & Product Providers: Join

The ENERGY STAR Service and Product Provider Partnership is available to organizations that provide energy efficiency related products and/or services to the commercial buildings and industrial plants in the United States. As an ENERGY STAR Partner, your organization will be associated with a powerful brand and can leverage ENERGY STAR to help your clients understand the value of improved energy performance.

The following types of organizations are eligible for partnership

  • Architecture or A/E Firm
  • Distributor
  • Energy Consultant / Energy Management Services
  • Energy Improvement Contractor
  • Energy Service Company (ESCO)
  • Engineering
  • Equipment Manufacturer
  • Financial Services
  • On-site Energy Production Services
  • Unregulated Energy Retailer and Marketer
  • Other providers of energy efficiency related products and/or services

Take these steps to become an ENERGY STAR SPP Partner

Partnering with ENERGY STAR is simple and free. Follow the instructions below to begin the partnership application process.

  1. Review the Service and Product Provider Partnership Requirements PDF (21KB)
  2. If you accept the terms of the Partnership Requirements, download and complete the following documents:
    1. ENERGY STAR Partnership Agreement Word document (146KB)
      Enter your organization name, signing authority name and contact information. Check the box to bind your organization to the terms of this agreement.
    2. ENERGY STAR Commitment Form Excel (90KB)

      Enter your organization name and contact information. Select the market areas that your organization serves (shown below). Only select markets for the SPP program area; if you are interested in other program areas please visit www.energystar.gov/join for information about how to join that program area.

    3. Service and Product Provider Company Profile Word document (226KB)
      Complete this profile to provide information about your organization’s products and services. This profile will also serve as the source of information for the SPP Directory when your partnership is finalized.
  3. Email the completed Partnership Agreement, Commitment Form and Service and Product Provider Company Profile to spp@energystar.gov.

An ENERGY STAR representative will review the completed documents and contact you to discuss your application. If your organization is approved for partnership, you will receive a hardcopy of your partnership forms signed and executed by EPA and emails welcoming you to the program. An email will also provide you with login credentials to access the ENERGY STAR partner logo and other ENERGY STAR partner resources on the website.
