About the Peace Corps

What are the Benefits?
Educational Benefits / Master's International / Become a Partner School:

The Peace Corps Master's International program invites institutions to participate in mutually beneficial partnerships that reflect and respond to the growing need for an academic and global perspective. Established in 1987, the goal of Master's International (MI) is twofold: to meet the increasing demand overseas for Peace Corps Volunteers with high levels of education and technical expertise, and allow universities to provide substantive, internationally focused experiences for their students.

Since its inception in 1961, Peace Corps has enjoyed a productive relationship with institutions of higher education. Master's International takes those relationships a step further by actually incorporating academic learning with the Peace Corps Volunteer experience. Peace Corps has partnerships with over 45 leading academic institutions offering over 60 degree programs. The degree programs range from TESOL to soil science and public health and reflect the needs of host communities.

By becoming a Master's International partner school, you will help to meet the need for skilled men and women overseas and give your students the opportunity to gain practical experiences that will allow them to be competitive in their field of interest.

Benefits of Master's International
By partnering with the Peace Corps, graduate programs can offer students a low-cost, professionally-relevant field experience in an international setting.
