SUBJECT: Counterfeit Cashier's Checks
Summary: Counterfeit Cashier’s Checks Bearing the Name EvaBank, Eva, Alabama, are Reportedly in Circulation.

EvaBank, Eva, Alabama,has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier’s checks bearing the institution’s name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items display the routing number 062203719, which is assigned to EvaBank, but are markedly dissimilar to authentic cashier’s checks. The counterfeit items are pink and display the words “CASHIERS CHECK” (without an apostrophe) in the top-left corner.

Authentic checks display the words “CASHIER’S CHECK” (with an apostrophe) and “REMITTER” in the top-left corner. They have ornate borders and are light green with an open-weave background. A padlock icon and security statement are shown on the right side.

Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.
