34th ICFA Advanced Beam Dynamics Workshop HPSL2005: High Power Superconducting Ion, Proton and Multi-Species Linacs

First "ILC-Compatible" 325 MHz Klystron for Proton Driver undergoing final assembly at Toshiba Electron Devices January 30, 2006:

First  "ILC-Compatible"
325 MHz Klystron
for Proton Driver Linac
passes all acceptance tests at
Toshiba Electron Tubes & Devices, Inc.

The Proton Driver front end linac
operates at 325 MHz, exactly 1/4
of the 1300 MHz frequency of the
International Linear Collider (ILC).

This means the Proton Driver Main
Linac can use the same 1300 MHz
Klystrons, Cavites, and RF equipment
as the Main Linac of the ILC.
