The first NLCF workshop was held on September 15-17, 2004, covering
performance improvement for chemistry codes on vector computers.

included software developers, support staff, and architecture experts
(attendee list (word)). The meeting was
held on-site at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, in the JICS (Joint Institute for Computational Sciences) building.
The Welcoming Reception was held in the Club Room at the Oak Ridge Mall on October 14th. This room is within walking distance from the Comfort Inn which is located on Rutger’s Avenue.
