Receiver Appointed in Mobley Case

The United States District Court has appointed Otto G. Obermaier, a partner at the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York City, as the receiver for David M. Mobley, Sr., Maricopa Investment Fund, Ltd., and the other defendants and relief defendants.

Under the Court's order, Mr. Obermaier is empowered to take possession of all of the defendants' and relief defendants' assets and to search for any hidden or undisclosed assets. Mr. Obermaier is required to prepare a report by May 31, 2000, setting forth, among other things, the defendants' and relief defendants' assets and liabilities; all funds and other assets received by the defendants and relief defendants since September 1, 1992; and all funds and other assets disbursed by the defendants and relief defendants since September 1, 1992.

Mr. Obermaier will be assisted by two attorneys in his firm's Miami office, Oscar Cantu and Debra Dandeneau.
