Council Description
Dale County Citizen Corps Council coordinates a Fire Corps program in Level Plains, a Volunteer Reception Center in Level Plains during times of need, two CERT Programs (1 in Ozark & 1 in Level Plains), a VIPs program in Ozark and a Red Cross certified emergency shelter in Level Plains that is opened when needed. The Alabama State Defense Force and the First Baptist Church of Level Plains are integral components of the Dale County Citizen Corps Council. The Dale County EMA Director, Ray Phillips, provides direction for and supports the program's missions. The Dale County Citizen Corps program cooperates and assists the Coffee county EMA director John Tallas when needed. Both counties share training programs and resources in a mutual effort to support the community.
