Council Description
The LEPC was established to manage and reduce risks posed by natural and manmade events and to plan for emergencies. The LEPC has a sub-committee that incorporates the Edgecombe County Citizens Corps Council (ECCC). The ECCC along with the Emergency Manage Agency has management oversight over the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
