Council Description
The Putnam County MRC was formally registered in July 2004. Update: The Putnam County Medical Reserve Corps currently has 215 active members. Four Orientation and initial trainings sessions have been held and two more are scheduled for August and September. Volunteers have assisted at Point of Distribution Drills (3), Sheltering Drills, actual sheltering, as well as Potassium Iodide distribution to residents in the Indian Point 10 mile radius. We are looking into a countywide program for Family Preparedness for the Fall. We are actively recruiting more volunteers.
