Council Description
The Cache County Citizen Corps Council addresses five programs led by corresponding agencies: VIPS by Logan City Police, VIPS/Mobile NW by Cache County Sheriff's Dept, Medical Reserve Corps by the Bear River Health Dept, CERT by the LEPC and 211 Information and Referral. Cache County's Medical Reserve Corps is the first in the state of Utah with Mike Weibel providing outreach and training for other interested communities seeking to launch MRC's. Cache County CCC's Goal is to form a countywide CERT council that shares training and resources via a CERT coordinator. CERT has been led by the LEPC with support by the American Red Cross chapter.
