Council Description
Our Council is composed of representatives from Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Fire Service, Emergency Medical Services, Local Hospital, County Public Health, Elected Officials, Private Sector, Red Cross, Eastern Illinois University, Religious Organizations and a Special Needs Advocate Organization. Primary emphasis will be placed on sponsoring and establishing CERT, Campus CERT and Teen CERT Programs initially. Once the CERT programs are in place and functioning, the Council may desire to sponsor other programs such as Neighborhood Watch or Medical Reserve Corps, but that will be in the future. The listed email for the Council will be utilized until the Council establishes its own. The Council will also work on establishing a website to provide information to the public.
