Council Description
Sammamish Citizen Corps Council is a 501(3)(c) community-based 100% volunteer organization nationally chartered to help everyone be safer from the dangers that we all face - natural disasters, terrorism, crime, public health issues, and other medical emergencies - and to help our community be safer too. Recently founded in Sammamish, our Citizens Corps Council provides a framework for connecting citizens, elected officials, business leaders, and school representatives through programs in community awareness, response training, and volunteer service. Are you skilled in any of these areas? Grant Writing - Marketing - Fund Raising - Volunteer Coordination - Web Building & Management - Administration - Recruiting - Scheduling - Home Safety Education - Logistics and Material Management - Record Keeping and Documentation - Purchasing - Medical and Health Services - or similar areas. If so, we need your help! Just a few of your volunteer hours each month can help, contact us to see what you can do! Recurring Meetings Citizen Corps Council: Monthly, every FIRST Wednesday at the Sahalee Fire Station 82, 1851 228th Ave NE, @ 7:00 PM CERT Advanced Training: 2nd Saturday at Sahalee Fire Station 82 Sammamish Amateur Radio Groupe (SARGe): Second Wednesday of the month at 7:30PM, City Hall Year-Round CERT Training Schedule: CERT classes are held 4 times a year beginning in January, April, July and September.
