Trudy has been a resident of District 8 since moving to Albuquerque and has been active in the community since the early 1980’s. Her community activities include serving on the board of La Familia Adoption Service, a past board member of Hospice of the Rio Grande, board member and current Vice President of her Home Owners Association (HOA), member and Past Vice President of New Mexico Symphony Orchestra Guild, and a nominating committee member for the Chaparral Chapter of Girl Scouts of America. Trudy and her husband are active members of Sagebrush Community Church. Trudy has been a member of Albuquerque Economic Development (AED), City of Albuquerque Planned Growth Strategy Implementation Advisory Task Force, and the 100 Club of New Mexico Board of Directors.

Trudy is a licensed New Mexico Broker, a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and has recently received the prestigious SIOR designation. She was a leading Real Estate Advisor at Grubb & Ellis|New Mexico in 1999 and 2000 and qualified for the National Circle of Excellence for Grubb & Ellis in 2000. The Commercial Association of Realtors New Mexico (CARNM) also named Trudy Realtor of the Year in 2000. Selection of Realtor of the Year is based on community involvement, volunteerism in real estate organizations, and significant impact in the real estate community. Also in 2000 the New Mexico Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties honored Trudy as Real Estate Professional of the Year in recognition of her community volunteer work and achievements in commercial real estate. Trudy is a member of several other real estate organizations, including National Association of Realtors (NAR), Realtors Association of New Mexico (RANM) and, Leasing Information Network (LIN), which she helped establish. She has served as Past President of CARNM, LIN, and the local CCIM chapter.

Though Trudy is devoted to community service, she also loves the outdoors and can most weekends be found at home gardening, packing for a camping trip, or backpacking in the wilderness areas of New Mexico. Most importantly, Trudy’s husband, two daughters and one granddaughter support her efforts to bring civility and cooperation back to Albuquerque City Government.
