Hurricanes Gustav & Ike Business Recovery Assistance

LSBDC can help hurricane-impacted businesses recover and reopen with disaster loan assistance and consulting. LSBDC’s highly trained and experienced team of consultants can assist business owners with applying for SBA disaster loans which cover physical and economic damages to their businesses.  LSBDC is partnering with our long-time funding partners, Louisiana Economic Development (LED) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), to staff a Business Counseling Center Network, which can help you with all your business recovery needs.  More information >>>>

Are you an aspiring business owner or established entrepreneur?  Then we’re here to help you.

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC Network) provides low- or no-cost guidance and training for small business owners and potential owners.  Part of a statewide network supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Louisiana Economic Development and the host universities, the LSBDC serves Louisiana businesses through confidential counseling, group training, and business information resources.

The mission of the LSBDC is to enhance the economic well being of the citizens of Louisiana by providing comprehensive, high-quality assistance to existing and potential small businesses. We foster the formation and growth of small businesses in order to expand and diversify the Louisiana economy. We are committed to implementing both the initiatives of the U.S. Small Business Administration and Louisiana's master plan for economic development.

The Louisiana SBDC centers, located throughout the State, sponsor various workshops, conferences, and courses each year. Instructors include LSBDC staff, private-sector professionals, government experts, and university faculty. The programs are priced nominally to serve the small-business community.
