DChart is a new web viewer for in-situ oceanic and atmospheric data from the dapper OPeNDAP server. Data selection is through an interactive Google Maps type user interface based on AJAX (Asynchronous Java and XML). User interface includes zoom and pan on the data selection map, zoom on data plots, data download and dataset information (metadata). Click here to try it!

Available Observing System datasets include realtime global Argo data, TAO El Nino data, NDBC meteorology, NCDC global summary of the day, and extensive hydrographic data.

EPIC Web Browser (Version 2.0)
(public access) (PMEL local access )

The EPIC Web Browser is Web application that provides interactive on-line data access to EPIC hydrographic data sets. It allows user to view the oceanographic in-situ data by creating plots on-the-fly, generating listings, data downloading etc.

Current EPIC Web Browser provides more than 1.5 million profile (such as CTD, Bottle, and XBT data from Pacific, FOCI, Puget Sound, VENTS, and NODC World Ocean Database, etc.) and time series (such as surface meteorology data, ocean data , and drifter buoy data from Alaska, Arctic, Puget Sound, etc. and Sea Level data from University Hawaii Sea Level Center).

EPIC Web Browser version 2.0 implements JavaScripts and Java Applets for interactive data selection, CGI-scripts for back-end database access and EPIC analysis programs access, and Plot Plus Graphic package and m2gif for graphic image creation.

EPIC Web Browser version 1.0 implementing clickable-map and basic HTML form for user to make EPIC data selection. You can use this version if your browser doesn't support JavaScript or Java Applets used in EPIC Web Browser version 2.0.

These pages employ the CGI-script cover utility - an interface between CGI and any shell-script or program, and clickable-map. Plots are done with PLOT PLUS graphics package.

It provides on-line data access to real-time TAO time series data. The EPIC utilities including Java Applet and JavaScripts are implemented on these pages.

For more information about TAO data and TAO project, please visit TAO Home Page.

User can use this page to view the most recent data received daily via satellite from the TAO buoy array in the Tropical Pacific Ocean. Java Applets and cover utility are implemented on these pages.

More real-time TAO data access are available at TAO Real-time On-line Access page. For more information about TAO data and TAO project, please visit TAO Home Page.

The java applet reads and plots the realtime TAO meteorological data files. This applet demonstrates the ability to interactively display data located on a remote server at PMEL. The interface allows the user interactively control over the plot and the ability to retrieve data points.

More real-time TAO data access is available at TAO Real-time On-line Access page. For more information about TAO data and TAO project, please visit TAO Home Page.
