September is National Preparedness Month and National Campus Safety Awareness Month. To promote safety awareness and emergency preparedness, Temple University will host their 3rd Annual Preparedness Fair. The event will include response vehicles, demonstrations, meet and greet opportunities and give aways. Attendees include Philadelphia first responder organizations, SEPTA, Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, American Red Cross and the Corporation for Community and National Service. The Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management and Philadelphia Citizen Corps will host a booth at this annual event to provide an opportunity to sign up for ReadyNotifyPA, and distribute Ready Philadelphia personal preparedness materials for severe storms, electrical and other utility outages, ReadyNotifyPA, Be Red Cross Ready and fire safety.
