Coal Survey Authorization 2008-2011

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) sends data survey forms to coal consumers, producers, and distributors to collect data for public dissemination. EIA must allow the public to comment on its proposed data survey process and forms, address public comments, and receive authorization from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to conduct data surveys. On April 27, 2008, EIA received approval on a three-year extension for its coal data surveys from OMB.
