Active collaboration graphicThe Directorate of Intelligence (DI) manages all FBI intelligence activities. What does that entail? Everything from ensuring that our special agents in the field collect the kind of information that we and our partners in the law enforcement and intelligence communities need... to making sure that the right information gets into the hands of national decision makers.

As a key component of our National Security Branch (NSB), the DI works across all FBI offices, ensuring that intelligence is embedded in all investigative programs—counterterrorism, counterintelligence, weapons of mass destruction, cyber, and criminal—and in all field offices. The Directorate ensures that the FBI fulfills its responsibility to produce national intelligence to protect the country.
