organizations have aired parts of a videotape of
an individual who claims to be an al-Qa'ida supporter
in which the speaker makes implied threats against
the United States. The speaker claims
the United States as his country of origin and he
speaks English.
The FBI is seeking assistance from the public through
its web site, www.fbi.gov, in an effort to seek
any information the public may have to help identify
the individual on the videotape -- by recognizing
anything in the voice, body language or other style
of either the subject of the video or the person
asking questions off camera.
The Intelligence Community continues to analyze
the tape. Questions about its origin,
the speaker, and the speaker's linkage to al-Qa'ida
remain unresolved. There is no information
linking this video to a specific threat.
