epic_spectral_bin-sun4.tar.Z static linked binary exectables of seven EPIC spectral analysis programs compiled on Sun-4.(Users whos machine doesn't have IMSL library may want to get the binary files. The source for these programs is included in the epic_src.tar.Z file.)

EPIC System Library (epslib)

EPIC system library(epslib) is required before you install the EPIC programs. EPIC system library is available from PMEL's anonymouse ftp directory: ftp://ftp.epic.noaa.gov/eps/.

eps.tar.gz Compressed tar file of EPSLIB soruce code.
epstest.tar.Z Compressed tar file contains EPS testing programs.
eps-util.tar.Z compressed tar file contains some EPS utility programs. (For example, EPS time converting programs.)
epslib.ps.Z Compressed Postscript file of EPSLIB manual. (print last page first)
netCDF software netCDF software (link to UNIDATA web site)
examples/ Directory contains example programs.
EPIC Database Programs

EPIC system supports several database systems, such as Ingres, mSQL, postgreSQL, and MySQL, to management the EPIC data files.

The EPIC/mSQL database management system package contains software that create EPIC/mSQL database, load data, and retreive data from the database. It is available from PMEL's anonymous ftp: ftp://ftp.epic.noaa.gov/epic/epic-msql/

The EPIC/MySQL database management system package will be available soon.

bin/ Directory contains compiled EPIC/msql binary programs for Solaris.
 
MexEPS (EPIC-Matlab Interface)

Mexeps is an interface between MATLAB and EPIC System including many other netCDF file conventions, such as those produced by Ferret, WHOI, etc. MexEPS and other example programs are available from PMEL's anonymous ftp: ftp://ftp.epic.noaa.gov/eps/mexeps/.

EPIC Examples

The EPIC example package contains example programs and data files illustrating the use of the EPIC system tools, EPS library and PPLUS Scientific Graphics package. It is available from PMEL's anonymous ftp: ftp://ftp.epic.noaa.gov/eps/examples.
