Advanced Light Source
Compendium of User Abstracts
Welcome to the online version of the Advanced Light Source (ALS) Compendium
of User Abstracts. Each year, from 1993-2001, the ALS compiled abstracts
of user research from the past year and published them along with
other ALS information (e.g., funding sources and beamline information)
for that year. Originally published as a hardcopy volume, the annual
Compendium for 1999-2001 was distributed on CD together with each
year's ALS
Activity Report,
which complemented the Compendium by presenting overviews of each
year's scientific program, ongoing research and development efforts,
and operations.
This Web version of the Compendium, however, combines the abstracts
from all years from 1997-2001 into one searchable database. Other
Compendium material is listed separately by year. This page also contains
links to the most up-to-date information on ALS beamlines, becoming
an ALS User, and ordering a copy of the latest Activity Report and
Compendium CD.
To view the abstracts in this online Compendium, you will need Acrobat Reader which
you can download free from the Adobe Web Site. Here are some viewing tips for using Acrobat Reader with this Compendium.
Note: The production of the ALS Compendium has been indefinitely
suspended.
