Hurricane & Tropical Storm Updates
As the tropical storm and hurricane season continues, UMA will be providing operators with updates and information on evacuations, assistance needed, DOT regulations and other pertinent information.
UMA is monitoring the FEMA web site and will be posting announcements and information on the Hurricane and Tropical Storm Update Page, and encourages members to be dilligent and prepared.
5th Annual Safety Management Seminar
The industry event dedicated to safety and risk management, 5th Annual UMA Safety Management Seminar will be held December 3 - 4, 2008, at the NTSB Training Academy in Ashburn, VA.

Designed to meet the guidance requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), this 3 ½ minute pre-trip passenger safety message includes how to avoid slips and falls, emergency contact instructions, and highlights the safety and convenience features of a motorcoach including emergency exits and passenger courtesy lights. All major manufacturers of motorcoaches are featured in the video.
