Immediate Inspection of Deck Truss Bridges

This message is being transmitted to you on behalf of Frederick (Bud) Wright, Executive Director.

Attached is a Technical Advisory strongly advising that State Departments of Transportation and other bridge owners to immediately re-inspect bridges that are of similar type to the I-35 Bridge in Minneapolis. We are taking this action because the cause of the bridge collapse is uncertain. Please notify appropriate officials in your State of this Advisory immediately.
