Medication
Medications called antidepressants work to normalize brain
chemicals called neurotransmitters, notably serotonin,
norepinephrine, and dopamine. Scientists studying depression have
found that these chemicals, and possibly others, are involved in
regulating mood, but they are unsure of exactly how they work.
