Most of the information the Copyright Office makes available on paper is also available for viewing and downloading from our website at www.copyright.gov. In addition, records of registrations and document recordations from 1978 forward are online. Go to the website, and see the list below for examples of what you may obtain online.

To obtain a paper form to register or renew a claim to copyright, click on Forms. Please note that the Copyright Office has implemented online registration. If you file your application online, you will pay a lower fee, and your application will be processed more quickly than if you file using a paper application.
