The Albuquerque Biological Park is the Albuquerque Aquarium, Rio Grande Botanic Garden, Rio Grande Zoo and Tingley Beach.  Our mission is to provide the public with exciting recreational opportunities and to foster environmental awareness, education and stewardship.

Leap into conservation!

Croak! Peep! Ribbit! The toads and frogs have begun their evening songs. During 2008, humans are joining the chorus as we celebrate the Year of the Frog. Across the globe, people who value amphibians and biodiversity are working together to raise awareness about severe declines in amphibian populations. They are also spreading the word about what each of us can do to help stop frog extinctions. Find out more about amphibian activities at the BioPark.

 

Help create a more sustainable city!

With our mission in mind, the BioPark would like to encourage visitors to learn more about conservation and sustainability. Does planting a tree or garden affect the climate? Does riding a bike or bus? What are the effects of recycling and water conservation?
