Welcome to FTA and Region I. We are proud of the job being done by FTA and our Regional Office where excellent customer service is a top priority. The Region serves the New England area of the country and includes the States of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Organizationally, Region I consists of a Regional Office in Cambridge, MA. The total staff complement is 15. In 2006, Region I provided $373,700,562 in federal funding, awarding 160 grants. This funding helped 60 grantees with transportation projects throughout the region. The Region manages 397 active projects that have federal funding amounting to $2.5 billion.
