Download GRIN TAXONOMY for PLANTS Data
on Families, Genera, or Species

- You will be transferred to the GRIN TAXONOMY for PLANTS
public download directory, where compressed DBF files of the GRIN
family, genera, species, and common name data are listed.
Two additional files for species names treated by the seed
associations AOSA and ISTA are also present.
- Select and view the "readme" file, describing the contents
of these data files.
- Click on the desired filename with your mouse to start the download
process of the file to your computer.
- Decompress the downloaded file locally using ZIP-UNZIP
compression-decompression software. Please be aware that some of
these files will be quite large, ca. 25 times current size (ca.
100 megabytes), when uncompressed.
- Import the resulting DBF file into local database capable of
accommodating an imported file of this magnitude.
