Food Stamp Program
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Stamp Program is intended to help low-income Americans meet their nutritional needs.
- The N.D. Department of Human Services issues about $4.8 million in food stamp benefits each month to state residents.
- In January 2008, 21,684 households in N.D. received food stamp benefits, and 43 percent of those households had earned income.

To apply for food stamps, complete the Application for Assistance and/or contact your local County Social Service Office.
