Senior Citizen ID Bus Card

Individuals 65 years of age or older are eligible for the DPTS Senior Citizen half price fare of 35 cents. Visit the information window at the Senator Severns Transit Center, 353 E. William Street, show a form of ID and a Senior Citizen ID card will be issued. There is no cost for the ID card, but it can be laminated for 50 cents at the Transit Center. Lost cards less than a year old will be replaced for $1.00.

Individuals with Disabilities ID Card

Individuals with disabilities are eligible to ride the fixed route buses for a reduced fare of 35 cents. A DPTS Disability ID card must be presented to the driver to use the reduced fare. To receive a DPTS Disability ID card you must provide current proof of a disability, such as a Medicare card, a Social Security / Disability Benefits card, or a letter from your doctor explaining your disability. Visit the information window at the Senator Severns Transit Center, 353 E. William Street, show your proof of a disability, and a DPTS Disability ID card will be issued. Please note that temporary ID cards can be issued in cases where a disability is only temporary.

The ID card is free of charge. Lost cards less than a year old will be replaced for $1.00. Cards can be laminated for 50 cents at the Transit Center.

Even though all of its buses and trolleys are wheelchair and handicapped accessible, DPTS also provides subsidized, door-to-door, paratransit services for individuals who are unable to use the regular fixed route bus system due to a disability. Click here for more information on Operation Uplift.
