Artesia Training Programs

Up one level Artesia Training Programs

The staff of the Artesia Training Division is responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, and administering advanced and specialized training programs for the United States Border Patrol, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Transportation Security Administration, and other partnering organizations.  Basic and advanced training programs are conducted for the Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs under the auspices of the Indian Police Academy.

Specialized instructor programs such as the Driver Instructor Training Program (DITP), Firearms Instructor Training Program (FITP), the Law Enforcement Fitness Coordinator Training Program (LEFCTP), and the Defensive Tactics Instructor Training Program (DTITP) are also conducted at the Artesia facility.  These instructor programs are open to Federal as well as State and local students.  State and local selections and admissions are coordinated through the Office of State and Local Training (OSL), located at the Glynco facility.
