Jurisdictional Area

The jurisdictional area represents the state, county or city in which an alleged incident of employment discrimination took place.

The Chicago District Office has jurisdiction over the States of Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin; and the State of Illinois Counties of Adams, Boone, Brown, Bureau, Carroll, Cass, Champaign, Christian, Clark, Clay, Coles, Cook, Crawford, Cumberland, Dekalb, DeWitt, Douglas, Dupage, Edgar, Edwards, Effingham, Fayette, Ford, Franklin, Fulton, Gallatin, Grundy, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Henderson, Henry, Iroquois, Jasper, Jefferson, Jo Daviess, Johnson, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Knox, La Salle, Lake, Lawrence, Lee, Livingston, Logan, Macon, Marion, Marshall, Mason, Massac, McDonough, McHenry, McLean, Menard, Mercer, Montgomery, Morgan, Moultrie, Ogle, Peoria, Piatt, Pike, Pope, Putnam, Richland, Rock Island, Saline, Sangamon, Schuyler, Scott, Shelby, Stark, Stephenson, Tazewell, Vermilion, Wabash, Warren, Wayne, White, Whiteside, Will, Williamson, Winnebago, and Woodford.

Milwaukee Area Office

The Milwaukee Area Office has jurisdiction over the States of Iowa and Wisconsin.

Minneapolis Area Office

The Minneapolis Area Office has jurisdiction over the States of Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The Chicago District Office has jurisdiction over the entire State of Illinois except for 16 counties in the southwest portion of the state which are covered by the St. Louis District Office.
