Southeast ADA Center (DBTAC)

This Disability & Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC) provides training, information and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and accessible information technology (IT) to people in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) - Charlotte, NC District Office

Enforces many federal civil laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), that prohibit job discrimination. The Charlotte District Office has jurisdiction over the state of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agencies in North Carolina

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sponsors housing counseling agencies throughout the country that can provide advice on buying a home, renting, defaults, foreclosures, credit issues and reverse mortgages.

North Carolina Division of Aging & Adult Services

Provides specialized services for seniors and disabled adults and their families, including case management, adult day care programs, housing services, senior employment programs, transportation services, in-home services, healthcare and advocacy services.

North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities

Engages in advocacy, capacity building and systemic change that includes needed community services, individualized supports and other forms of assistance that promote self determination for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Disability Rights North Carolina

A private, non-profit organization that serves as North Carolina's Protection and Advocacy (P&A) service and provides specialized legal assistance to people with all types of disabilities.
