Update 2008

If you filled out an Update Interest Form and have received an email confirmation from BIS that you may register for Update 2008, the following information applies:

You must register on or before August 18, 2008. After this date, your registration will be forfeited and transferred to someone on the wait list.

The registration fee for Update 2008 is $775 and includes an Exhibit Hall Reception on September 29, Gala Reception on September 30, breakfasts and lunches on September 30 & October 1, and program materials.

Payment Method

Online registration is required regardless of payment method. You may pay by credit card (M/C, VISA, American Express) or by check. Checks should be made out to the BIS Seminar Trust Fund 96B8023. All checks must be received by BIS on or before September 15, 2008.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

A refund, less a $50 administrative charge, is available for cancellations made on or before Friday, August 25, 2008. No refunds are available after this date.

Cancellation requests must be made by email to Updateconference@bis.doc.gov. Please put "Cancellation Request" in the subject line.

Transferring Your Registration Authorization

If you would like to allow someone else from your organization to register in your place, you must receive prior approval from BIS. Transfer requests must be made by email to Updateconference@bis.doc.gov. Please put "Registration Code Transfer Request" in the subject line along with the new contact information, including email address. BIS will then send an email confirmation to both you and the new registrant with registration instructions.

Subsequent Transfers

After you have registered, you may also transfer your registration to another member of your organization at any time on or before September 22, 2008. Please note that BIS cannot change the payment method or transfer charges to another credit card account. Transfer requests must be made by email to Updateconference@bis.doc.gov. Please put "Registration Transfer Request" in the subject line along with the new contact information.

Registrations may NOT be transferred outside of your organization. Registrations may NOT be resold.

Important Deadlines

August 18 - last day to register using your registration code
August 25 - last day to cancel your registration
September 15 - check payments must be received by BIS
September 22 - last day to transfer your registration
