Bus/transit

Public transit is a major player in helping people reach jobs, shopping, school and home. In 2006, Wisconsin’s 71 public transit systems included about 73 million revenue transit rides.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation administers a number of programs to support public transit in many forms throughout the state, whether for operating assistance, capital needs, or special needs such as transportation for people with disabilities.
