do I find out if I am eligible for ACCESS AT? How
do I apply for ACCESS AT service? What
will happen at the interview? The functional assessment will be conducted at the same location following the interview. Please come dressed in appropriate attire for a possible outdoor functional assessment. We will also take your photograph. The photograph will be used for an ID card if you are determined eligible for ADA complementary paratransit service. How
and when will I find out if I am eligible? What
happens if I am not eligible for ADA complementary service ? Eligible to ride ACCESS AT Passengers considered as eligible to ride ACCESS AT will be sent a “Riders Guide” and an ID card stating their certification and their eligibility to use this service. Applicants determined to be ineligible or eligible with conditions may appeal their evaluation. An independent panel has been established to hear appeals and does include a person with a disability. We will include information on how to appeal a decision in your letter. What
other service does Advance Transit offer? Priority seating is available for riders who have difficulty standing while the bus is moving. All AT buses are equipped with lifts, kneelers, or ramps to assist riders who use wheelchairs or who have difficulty getting up and down the bus steps. Reserved spaces with securement straps are available for riders who use wheel-chairs to provide a safe and secure ride. Advance Transit Office Hours: except for the following holidays: New Year's Day
