Mandatory program that coordinates military and civilian agencies to provide comprehensive community support, housing, education, medical and personnel services to families with special needs.

Provides soldiers and their families advocacy and support, including information on issues related to deployment, well-being and behavioral health.

Army Family Readiness Group (FRG)

Traditional FRG functionality in an online setting for geographically dispersed units and families. Online tools include forums, video e-mail, a telephone tree and photo gallery.

Army Integrated Family Support Network (AIFSN)

Provides community support and services to soldiers, families and employers throughout the entire deployment cycle.

Army Reserve Family Programs - Military Family Life Consultants (MFLCs)

Licensed clinical social workers and psychologists address soldiers' and families' reintegration and reunion issues. MFLCs help with marriage, relationship and family issues, stress and depression, grief and loss, anger management and parent/child communication.

Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2)

Serves the most severely wounded, injured or ill soldiers and their families in their transition back into civilian or military life. Soldier Family Management Specialists located at all major military treatment facilities and VA Medical Centers provide support to soldiers with disability ratings of 30 percent or more for as long as needed.

Association of the United States Army (AUSA)

Provides active duty Army, National Guard, Reserve, civilians, retirees and family members professional development opportunities through 125 chapters around the world and operates the Family Programs Directorate. Many AUSA chapters also provide scholarships to soldiers and family members. Find a chapter near you.

Provides information on Army customs, home and personal safety, managing deployment, understanding military pay and much more. Also offers a Virtual Soldier and Family Assistance Center (SFAC) where soldiers and their families can gather to foster physical, spiritual and mental healing.
