July 17, 2008 Notice: the Service published a Direct Final Rule and a Proposed Rule reducing the quantity of sturgeon or paddlefish caviar that may be imported or exported under the CITES personal effects exemption from 250 grams to 125 grams. The rule will bring U.S. regulations into line with revisions adopted by the CITES Conference of the Parties at their 14th meeting in June 2007.

Fact sheet on U.S. Conservation Efforts for Tigers
A coalition of wildlife organizations recently partnered with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to create the documentary "Living with Predators." This film, which is narrated by actress Glenn Close, highlights the threats to international big cats and wild dogs, and shows the many different ways conservation organizations are working to address the crisis.
