Nautical Chart Viewer for ArcView 3.x, Imagine 8, and ArcGIS 8+
Product Description
NOAA's navigational charts provide a useful data layer for ocean and coastal
geographic information system (GIS) projects, but these charts use a digital
format (BSB) that is not widely supported by mapping software vendors.
Chart Viewer was created to bring BSB-formatted nautical chart information to
the GIS user. This ArcView 3.x extension also works with Imagine 8.x and ArcGIS
8+ environments.
Please be aware that these charts are NOT intended to be used for navigational purposes. The developers of this program - the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Technology Planning and Management Corporation, Environmental Systems Research Institute, and MapTech, Inc. - assume no responsibility and can not be held liable for any end use of this software. For your own protection, please label all output with "NOT FOR NAVIGATIONAL USE."
