  Question
Will the income limits used to determine the amount of my Medicare Part B premium be indexed for inflation in future years?
  Answer

Yes. By law, the income limits used to determine the amount of your Medicare Part B premium must be adjusted yearly based on the Consumer Price Index. This indexing will begin in 2008.

For more information about Medicare Part B premiums, visit our website at www.socialsecurity.gov/mediinfo.htm, call us toll-free at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) or visit your local Social Security office.

For the current income limits used to determine the amount of your Medicare Part B premium, see "What is the "Part B" Medicare monthly premium?"
