Project Description: This project's objective is to strengthen and expand the capacity at Morgan State University to conduct rigorous health services research by initiating and conducting new faculty small research projects in selected health services areas and providing research assistantships and internships for students to increase the pool of African-American researchers trained in health services research. Research focuses on selected health services issues in such areas as maternal and child health, school health and reproductive health. The grant supports a research project which is a long term followup of pregnant adolescents who attended an alternative school which provided comprehensive services.
