Wutoh, Anthony

Institution: Howard University, Washington, DC
Grant Title: Center for Minority Health Services Research
Grant Number: R24 HS11673-03

Project Description: This project supported the development of health services research (HSR) and outcomes research at the Howard University College of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences through funding for the Center for Minority Health Services Research (CMHSR). It provides training opportunities for junior investigators and graduate students, expanded collaboration with internal and external research Centers and Institutes, and provision of HSR workshops and seminars. Key to the development of Health Services Researchers at Howard University is the support of a Biostatistician and Biostatistical Unit through the Center.

The CMHSR also supports small pilot HSR grant projects for junior investigators that may lead to larger funded projects:

  • Antiretroviral Usage Patterns among Medicaid Recipients.
  • Colorectal Cancer Screening among Elderly Women.
  • Prostate Cancer and African American Men.
