City Clerk

The Office of the City Clerk and staff are located in Basement Level Room #2041 of the City/County Building. This office maintains municipal records as mandated by state statute and our City Charter. All professional/technical contracts, intergovernmental and joint powers agreements, union contracts, public improvement contracts, subdivision improvements, liens, release of liens, SAD files, bonds, city summons/complaints or tort claims, minutes for all city boards, city employee: conflict of interest and death certificate forms, etc., are kept in a vault located in that office. Photocopies of the above, along with city ordinances, resolutions, executive communications, and other historical data are available by request to the general public and city employees. All activities surrounding municipal and special elections, and referenda are also the responsibility of this office.

The Office of the City Clerk constantly strives to improve the quality of service at each location lawfully and through sound management practices. Our professional staff members are ever mindful of neutrality and impartiality as they render equal and efficient service to all. Disclosure of Travel Expenses

• Pursuant to O-06-36, Enactment O-2006-034, AMENDING ARTICLE XII OF THE CITY CHARTER, THE CODE OF ETHICS, ARTICLE XIII OF THE CITY CHARTER, “(J) DISCLOSURE OF TRAVEL EXPENSES: Officials using taxpayer funded travel in excess of $1,000 for any trip shall disclose that trip to the City Clerk within one week after completion of the trip. All such travel expenses shall be immediately posted on the city’s website and shall itemize all expected expense as well as the purpose of the trip.
