2008 EPA Emergency Preparedness and Prevention and Hazmat Spills Conference
This annual conference provides training for emergency responders and will be held from October 26-29 in Richmond, Virginia. Emergency response personnel from a variety of fields, including federal, state, and local government, are encouraged to attend. - What's New in Risk Management Plan (RMP) Reporting for 2009? Beginning in 2009, EPA will provide new software called RMP*eSubmit for facilities to use for RMP reporting. This new Factsheet provides important information on this effort.
To ensure that this nation is better prepared for environmental emergencies, EPA is working with other federal partners to prevent accidents as well as to maintain superior response capabilities. One of our roles is to provide information about response efforts, regulations, tools, and research that will help the regulated community, government entities, and concerned citizens prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
