FY 2008 data are preliminary; all data are subject to revision.
1] Data through FY-1980 are for the peak month of activity. Data for FY 1981 onward are October for schools/child care institutions and July for summer camps.
2] The Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981 limited program participation to schools and institutions which do not participate in other Child Nutrition programs, effective in FY 1982.
3] P.L. 99-500 (1987, effective October 1988) permitted NSLP or SBP schools to offer milk to pre-kindergarten and kindergarten children attending half-day sessions who have no access to meal service programs.
