New: Iraqi Government Contracting Guide!

The U.S. Commerce Department's Iraq Investment and Reconstruction Task Force, is pleased to announce the release of the Iraqi Ministry of Planning's Quick Start Contracting Guide! This guide was written to assist contracting officers within various Iraqi Ministries to correctly understand the appropriate rules and procedures for issuing contracts and tenders. To that end, it is an invaluable resource for international companies interested in exploring procurement and tender opportunities with the Iraqi Government. For more information on Iraqi Government contracts, the Task Force's Useful Links page (http://www.export.gov/iraq/links/index.html) now features an additional link entitled "tender active" has been provided for those Iraqi Ministries and Iraqi state-owned enterprises that are both actively issuing tenders and posting the details of such tenders on their websites. Selecting the "tender active" link will direct you to the section of the corresponding site where tender details are posted. (A number of those United Nations Agencies, Funds, Programs and Offices with operations in Iraq are also proffering tenders and posting the corresponding details online; the links for such institutions are likewise supplemented with "tender active" links.)
