Bicycle Facility Program |
The Bicycle Facility Program The Bicycle Facility Program (BFP) is a grant program that provides funding to reduce motor vehicle emissions through the implementation of new bicycle facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Funding for the BFP is provided by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District's (Air District’s) Transportation Fund for Clean Air. The BFP supports the implementation of bicycle projects through a streamlined process in which qualified projects are eligible to receive funding, up to a maximum grant amount based on the proposed project type. Grant awards are made primarily on a first-come first-served basis, utilizing a simplified grant application and evaluation procedure. Available Funds A total amount of $600,000 is available in fiscal year (FY) 2007/08. The minimum BFP grant for a single project is $10,000 and the maximum BFP grant is 35% of the total funds available (or $210,000 in FY 2007/08).Who Can Apply?
