Possible topics include: awards received, milestones reached, major personnel or lab changes, new equipment/facilities, upcoming events, new publications/services, etc.

Featured Lab: These are feature length articles highlighting the services, facilities, efforts, expertise, and technology areas of a specific laboratory or research center. Length can be as long as 700-1500 words.

Tech Watch: These short articles (approximately 200 words) highlight technologies available for licensing/commercialization from federal labs. The preferred format is: short description of the technology, its benefits/advantages, and its potential applications. Be sure to include a point of contact—either a website or a person's name, telephone number, and email address.

Proven to Work: These longer articles (approximately 400 words) focus on successful transfers from federal labs to the private sector or state and local government. These stories should describe the technology transferred, its original use, how it is being used, tech transfer mechanisms used, and the benefits to the recipient(s) and society. If possible, please include comments on lessons learned or quotes from involved parties. These stories should relate to the technology focus area for the month.

Upcoming Events/T2 Events: These brief articles (two to three sentences) describe upcoming meetings of interest to tech transfer personnel. Please provide the name of the meeting, meeting dates, meeting location, meeting theme, meeting sponsor(s), a few sentences describing the meeting/event, and provide a point of contact—either a website address or a person's name, phone number, and email.

Feature Articles: The FLC NewsLink editorial staff is also searching for suggestions for feature story ideas. If you have a story idea, contact the FLC Management Support Office.

Photos and Graphics: We are always looking for photos and graphics to accompany stories. You can either provide hard copies of photos for scanning or email electronic versions of the photos/graphics to tgrayson@utrs.com. Electronic versions of photos must have a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
