A Weekend Filled With Activities

This last weekend was full of activities for everyone here in the City of Albuquerque. We began the weekend with this year’s premier of Zoo Music, with the Red Stick Ramblers, and that was just Friday night!

Saturday we had the return, after thirteen years, of The Great Race Down the Rio Grande. If you have photos or like to look at photos of the event please visit our flickr site and add your photos here. It was quite a site to see over 500 boats and 1,500 people participate and celebrate the mighty Rio Grande.

We also had the Albuquerque Century 2008, a hundred mile bike ride through and around the outskirts of the city. To see photos, click here.

So what happened the weekend of June 14th? We have a great line up at Zoo Music with Indigo Girls and Brandi Carlisle, and the Bio Park and Tingley Beach. We also have the Father's Day Fiesta at the Rio Grande Zoo. The Saturday SUNSET SERIES at the Elena Gallegos Picnic Area is in it second week with a performance by Two Roses: Flute and Harp. For more information please visit this site here.

Summer is off and running! If you have any question about any of these events, please call 311.
