     RESUMPTION OF SERVICE ON PRIMARY EDGAR COMPUTER SYSTEM



     Washington, D.C., March 24, 1997 -- As of  8:00 a.m. this
morning  service on the primary EDGAR computer system was restored. 
All service on the primary system had been interrupted by a power
failure on March 21, 1997.  During the outage, filings were
received, analyzed and disseminated by a back-up system for the
remainder of that day.  Staff successfully brought the primary
system back to full operational status over the weekend.  

     Filers should once again direct submissions to (703) 914-4200.
Dissemination services are available, as is Public Reference Room
access.  Any questions concerning filing procedures should be
directed to EDGAR Filer Support at (202) 942-8900.  The Commission
appreciates the patience and cooperation of the public during the
March 21 interruption of service.
